Today was one of these days that my coffee needed a coffee... And I really couldn't make myself cook in the morning. So, the vegetarian bento was made! It's fast, it's simple, and it tasted great. Consider that a fancy salad for lazy days.

Sausages are a huge part of my bento making — they are easy to prepare, ridiculously delicious and so straightforward to store that I just like to toss some of them into any of my bento!
This particular recipe has a teriyaki twist, thanks to cooking the sausages in water with teriyaki sauce. Yum!

Sausage salad bento idea
Bento is not only rice, and you can eat a delicious meal with other ingredients like potatoes, green beans and... cornichons! This is my bento idea for days when I literally cannot look at rice, e.g. the day after sushi day. And, because most of the ingredients are pre-made in jars, you can quickly assemble this set when you're short on time. What's not to love about this bento idea?!
