Can you imagine, there was the time I didn't want to eat sushi, because of the raw fish?! Well, that's true, shame on me. Lots of shame. On me. Agreed...
Knowing that, I decided to make a recipe for sushi-like rolls, that look and taste close to sushi, but... are not raw! Nothing in this recipe is raw, and that also means that you can keep them safe longer at the room temperature, place in your bento, take for a picnic or just offer them as a healthy snack for people didn't discover yet the ingenuity of Japanese cuisine! ;-)

German Zimtsterne (cinnamon almond cookies)
I always wanted to make these, and finally got the guts — oh boy, I wasn't really prepared for the amount of nitty-gritty with making these. I started with original German recipe that called for 500g of almonds, but that ended up being 2 full baking sheets and lots of sneaky snacking between steps ;-) But the result is good, and these cookies are worth the effort.

Hot, savory and full or aroma, that's literally an omelette on steroids that smashes my hunger during dark, cold autumn days :-) It's also extremely easy and pretty fast to cook!

Tamagoyaki is a great and easy to make bento ingredient. It's savory taste goes well with vegetables and diary ingredients, it packs a reasonable amount of protein and will satisfy your hunger for a long time. It's good served warm, as well as cold.

Today was one of these days that my coffee needed a coffee... And I really couldn't make myself cook in the morning. So, the vegetarian bento was made! It's fast, it's simple, and it tasted great. Consider that a fancy salad for lazy days.
