Spongy waffles
Easy: 3 steps, 6 minutes
Usually waffles are served crispy, but from time to time I like to make them soft and spongy — perfect base for a plum jam! :-) This recipe makes 4 delicious, spongy waffles that you can prepare in no-time!
Ingredients for 4 portions
- Flour: 100g
- Water: 100ml (100g)
- White sugar: 2 spoons (30g)
- 1x Egg (50g)
- Baking powder: 1 teaspoon (5g)
Step #1: Utensils
- Mixing bowl,
- Waffle maker.
Step #2: Mix the dough (1 minute)
Mix all ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, water, and egg.
Step #3: Cook waffles (5 minutes)
Using the waffle maker, cook waffles until golden brown (pour enough dough to fill the bottom tray, since it will rise during cooking).
Best served with plum jam or any other dense, aroma-rich jam or confiture!
